Just filed my Associated Press top 25 ballot. Here's how it looked:
1. Florida State
3. Michigan State
9. South Carolina
14. Ohio State
15. Oklahoma State
18. Texas A&M
23. Arizona State
24. Southern Cal
Brief comments (because it's late):
I thought long and hard about putting Michigan State at No. 2. The Spartans have a better record with the same amount of games, and validated themselves with the win over Stanford.
But ultimately I felt it would be penalizing Auburn, which obviously played well enough to win.
Georgia and Northern Illinois were the two ranked teams that exited. USC and Nebraska went in.
Never miss a local story.
Any other questions, please post them below and I'll try to respond.
