ATHENS - The following recruits have officially been added to Georgia's roster, along with updated heights and weights, and positions:
DT John Atkins (6-4, 310)
OL Aulden Bynum (6-5, 260)
OL Josh Cardiello (6-3, 280)
LB Reggie Carter (6-1, 224)
ATH J.J. Green (5-9, 186)

DB Quincy Mauger (6-0, 197)
DT Chris Mayes (6-4, 315)
QB Brice Ramsey (6-3, 205)
LB Ryne Rankin (6-1, 231)
WR Jonathan Rumph (6-5, 215)
ATH Tramel Terry (6-0, 190)
DB Reggie Wilkerson (5-11, 163)
Note: Mayes is listed as a redshirt sophomore and Rumph is a junior. Both are junior college transfers.
The position assignments shouldn't be taken as where the players will officially play come spring practice. But they are interesting in certain cases:
Never miss a local story.
It's especially notable that Green and Terry are listed as athletes, because it shows that they could get a chance to help at tailback, where the team now has depth issues.
Terry, who had ACL surgery in December, wouldn't be able to help until preseason practice, at the earliest. But Green, mainly tabbed as a defensive back, could be in line for some snaps in the backfield during the spring.
(Bynum is actually listed as "OLB" on the roster, but I'm pretty sure that's a typo.)
The team has also added some walk-ons to the official roster:
- Inside linebacker Tommy Long from Wheeler High School in Marietta.
- Jake Star, a 6-foot-5 receiver from Collins Hill High School in Lawrenceville.
- Kicker Thomas Pritchard from Jefferson County High School in Louisville, Ga.
