Syracuse
Signees: 25
Georgia Ties: Like Pitt, Syracuse hasn’t really flourished recruiting in Georgia. When they have travelled south this recruiting season, the Syracuse coaching staff has generally headed to Florida.
Three to watch:
Alin Edouard, QB, 6-1, 180, Hialeah, Fla.
Edouard is an ESPN four-star recruit who was once committed to Miami.
Corey Cooper, WR, 6-0, 190, Matthews, N.C.
Cooper enrolled at Syracuse after a year at Jireh Prep. He had offers from a number of programs from across the country coming out of high school, including Maryland, South Carolina and Tennessee.
K.J. Williams, ATH, 6-2, 190, Bethlehem, Pa.
Williams, 247Sports’ fifth best player in Pennsylvania, picked the Orange over offers from Arizona, Michigan and Missouri.
Grade: C, The Orange didn’t sign a class loaded with impact recruits. Only Williams ranked as a four-star recruit by 247Sports. Syracuse didn’t get another commitment from inside of 247Sports’ top 500 players nationally, although Cooper was in the top 20 of prep school prospects.
