Funeral set for Tuesday for former Fort Valley State basketball player

Funeral services for former Fort Valley State basketball player April Love will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Golden Memorial United Methodist Church in Douglasville. Love died late Monday night.

Love graduated from Fort Valley State in 2003 and played for four seasons for the school’s women’s basketball team. She was named the SIAC Freshman of the Year and helped lead the Lady Wildcats to four straight SIAC championships.
