The season is still young, but Bibb County's GHSA private schools are at risk of getting shut out of the Class A private school playoffs.
Only two of the four teams, FPD and Stratford, are in the top 16 of this week's power rating. And those two are just working their way in: FPD (2-1) is 14th, while Stratford (1-2) is 16th.
The top 16 teams in the power rating, minus any region champions outside of the top 16, qualify for the Class A private school playoffs.
Tattnall, which dropped its first game of the season last Friday, is 18th despite a 3-1 record. Mount de Sales (1-2) is 28th.
Never miss a local story.
The team that beat Tattnall last week, Hancock Central, is 10th in the Class A public school power rating following a 2-2 start. Dooly County (2-2) is 12th, followed by Telfair County (2-2) in 13th, Johnson County (1-3) in 15th and Wilkinson County (3-1) in 16th. Twiggs County (0-3) is 17th, while Wheeler County (2-1) is 18th.
