WARNER ROBINS - Defending two-time state Little League champion Warner Robins American socked three home runs and didn’t allow a hit en route to a 15-0 win over Jones County in Tuesday’s opening round of the District 5 tournament.
Warner Robins, the tourney host team, plays West Macon tonight.
Four Robins pitchers combined to throw four innings of no-hit ball with 10 strikeouts, while the Robins lineup rapped 11 hits. Leadoff man Justin Jones homered to left on the second pitch he saw in the first. The Robins all-stars scored six more in the opening frame, three on Kal Dempsey’s longball to left.Jeremiah Stephens ripped a three-run shot of his own to center in the second when Warner Robins tacked on eight more runs. Jones County moves on to a losers-bracket game Thursday.
Western Little League hurler Dennis Fincher struck out 10 and slapped two doubles in his team’s 12-2 win over Macon Little League.

Western advances to play Vine-Ingle tonight in the six-team, double-elimination tourney for 11- and 12-year-olds at the Warner Robins American Little League complex.
Western scored three runs in the first and six in the third, powered by Codie Rozier (2-for-3, homer, double) and Travis Cumbie (2-for-3, homer). Macon Little League’s Raymond Washington accounted for his team’s two runs with a home run to left in the first. Macon moves on to a losers-bracket game on Thursday.
