Your Say: Reputation of health care industry not tarnished

As the CEO of CareSouth, a provider of home health-care services for home bound patients in seven states including Texas, I feel compelled to write this letter to the editor and to the public at large. The recent indictments in Texas regarding Jacques Roy, the physician who, with the help of a few unethical home care providers, allegedly defrauded the government and their patients out of millions of dollars in Medicare and Medicaid payments, have unfairly sullied the reputations of hundreds of thousands of honest, hardworking health-care workers across the country, as well as the honorable and noble profession that is health care.
