Screening run amok
Maybe some high-powered politician can explain why public access to the tag and tax office in Peach County requires one to undergo screening by an armed guard.
I wish to purchase tags for my truck, a process that in no way requires access into or near the courtroom or associated personnel.
My retired military ID card is quite useless here and the fact that I have bilateral metal hips plus an external stoma bag makes groping more than a mild insult. “I’m going to purchase tags” or “I’m going to register to vote” should allow any sane law enforcement gun-toting individual to use some common sense.
Never miss a local story.
Maybe there isn’t any available.
