Two former Warner Robins City Council candidates endorsed Carolyn Robbins, whom they both ran against in the Nov. 8 election for the citywide Post 2 seat. The announcement was made during a news conference Thursday.
Steve Rigby, a developer, and Alexandra Talley, a former City Council department director, said they are asking their supporters to vote for Robbins in the Dec. 6 runoff.
Robbins is running against local businessman Tim Thomas, 48, after failing to win a majority vote in the general election. She received 39 percent of the vote, and Thomas received 26 percent.
Jeffrey Walker, the fifth opponent in the original Post 2 race, has not endorsed either runoff candidate.
Voters can cast their ballots ahead of the Dec. 6 election at City Hall until 5 p.m. Friday. Post 4 runoff candidates Mike Brashear, 63, and Gene Harrington, 68, are also on the ballot.
