The Bibb County school board hired Thursday a new personnel review officer who will conduct investigations into principals, teachers or other central office staff suspected of misconduct.
Edwin Aaron, a former Georgia Professional Standards Commission investigator, was hired for the position Thursday.Rob Sumowski formerly served as the system investigator but transferred to a job as the school system hearing officer, which hears student cases and can issue student suspensions or expulsions.
Also Thursday, the board filled two new assistant principal positions.
Lance Rackley, a former Career, Technical and Agricultural Education supervisor, will serve as assistant principal at Springdale Elementary School.
And Susan Goins, a former Howard Middle gifted teacher and performance learning coach, is now assistant principal at Alexander II Magnet School.
