Georgia Military College in Milledgeville is holding a ribbon-cutting for its new preparatory school facility, W.J. “Bill” Usery Hall, at 9 a.m. Aug. 6.
The public is invited to attend.
The new 70,000-square-foot building provides a state-of-the-art learning facility for GMC’s middle and high school program that was previously scattered throughout five campus buildings.
The facility is three stories with 36 classrooms, three science labs, two computer labs, two music rooms, administrative and counseling offices, a courtyard, Junior ROTC training space and a health services center.
The building was named for W.J. Usery Jr., a GMC alumnus and former U.S. secretary of labor.
