Two Southwest High School students were suspended this week for circulating a video through their cell phones of an inappropriate sexual act.
The sexual act did not happen at school, Bibb County Assistant Superintendent for Student Support Services Craig Lockhart said.
“The incident had nothing to do with Southwest, however since they go to Southwest, it was disrupting the learning environment,” he said. “Some communications were being sent around. From there, we thought it would be a problem if we didn’t move on it.”
One male and one female student are suspended for an indefinite amount of time, he said.
