Georgia Technology recently held an Engineering and Computing Career Conference attended by 160 high school girls, a Georgia Tech news release forwarded by First Presbyterian Day School shows
The workshop was intended to recruit more females into the engineering profession.
According to First Presbyterian Day School, five of their high school female students attended. FPD senior Anna Katherine Wright said she was intrigued by some of the presentations, such as how fiberglass is made.
Another FPD student, Madison Ham said, “One good thing is that Georgia Tech helps make sure that you have a good job after you graduate.”
