Middle Georgia State University is welcoming two new leaders on campus.
Michael Holt has been chosen as the dean of the School of Business, and Tara Underwood as dean of the School of Health Sciences. Both have more than 20 years of college leadership experience.
Holt most recently worked at Austin Peay University in Clarksville, Tennessee, where he was associate professor in the College of Business and chairman of the Management, Marketing and General Business Department. He also was an associate professor and the chairman of master’s of business administration academics at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, and a professor and chairman of the School of Business at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee.
Underwood is an associate professor of health science and chairwoman of the Department of Health, Physical Education and Exercise Science at Columbus State University in Georgia. She also has served as graduate director of Health Professions and coordinator of Health Sciences.
Since 2010, she’s been an adjunct professor with Mercer University’s Department of Community Medicine/College of Health Professions.
