Two women were at the Macon Marriott City Center on Coliseum Drive one night last month when, as a Bibb County sheriff’s report put it, “words were exchanged and the two of them started a fistfight.” One of the women, a 38-year-old local, told a sheriff’s deputy that “her weave got ripped out of her head and that she wanted to press charges.” The other woman later said she had gone to an event at the nearby Macon Coliseum “and was minding her own business” with a female friend when the other woman walked by and shouted, “Whores!” From there, the fight was on and one woman’s face was scratched from her ear to her nose. In the end, neither woman pressed charges.
