An 18-year-old said her former dance instructor had threatened her. The young woman met a Bibb County Sheriff's Office deputy on Aug. 8 and told him she had recently uploaded a YouTube video of new dance moves she had learned.
She said her previous dance teacher saw the video and was infuriated, claiming “those were her moves,” the deputy’s report noted.
The former teacher, 28, demanded that the teen remove the video. The teen, she claimed, “wouldn’t know any of those moves if it weren’t for (the former instructor) teaching them to her.”
The deputy listened to a pair of voice mails the instructor had left for the young woman.
In one message, the instructor said, “You better pray and hope that you have God’s child in front of you, because if I find out where you live, I’m going to reach out and touch you. This is your last chance. I’m only going to tell you this once.”
The deputy later called the instructor, who said her temper had gotten the best of her. She said she “was sorry and that she understands that she took the situation too far.”
She promised to leave her former student alone.
