Four people accused of taking part in a stickup of a Forsyth gas station early Thursday morning have been arrested, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Monterion D. Davis, 24, and Morshista Wilkerson, 33, of Forsyth, and two unidentified male juveniles are each charged with armed robbery, a news release said.
Shortly after getting a call about the stickup at 2:45 a.m., a Forsyth police officer saw the group of masked bandits running from Al’s Market on Lee Street, one of the city’s busiest thoroughfares, the release said. The officer chased after the men and caught up with one of them.
The man, wearing all black and sweating, was found in a car with a woman who had parked at Trade Winds motel just behind the gas station, the release said.
It wasn’t long before a cashier at Al’s Market called 911 and reported the store had been held up by three men.
Sheriff’s deputies helped search through kudzu for the other two alleged bandits. Two juvenile men were found hiding with a revolver, the release said. A second gun thought to be used in the stickup also was recovered in the woods.
Davis and Wilkerson were booked in the Monroe County jail and the juveniles were taken to a youth detention center, the release said.
