A 30-year-old Bonaire man died in a traffic crash overnight Saturday into early Sunday morning on Ga. 96 near the Ocmulgee River.
The car was hidden by trees and wasn’t noticed until a passer-by stopped to help a stranded motorist, Twiggs County Coroner Harold Reece said.
Nathan Adams had been traveling west toward Bonaire when his car left the road, went off into the woods and struck a tree, Reece said.
The passer-by called authorities after spotting the car about 2 p.m. Authorities estimate the crash happened several hours earlier, he said.
