The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in finding 34-year-old Verconus Geona Redding, a.k.a “Head”, a person of interest in a May 18 shooting in south Macon.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, Redding is known to frequent Bellevue, Pleasant Hill, Unionville, south Macon, Bloomfield, west Macon, Lizella and Milledgeville.
Deputies responded to a call on May 18 from Zatarian Fowler, 18. Fowler was visiting relative Steven Jones, 44, in the 2400 block of Goodwin Road. Fowler heard a knock at the door, answered and saw two black males, one of whom fired multiple rounds into the home, according to the sheriff’s office.
Fowler was struck in the right shoulder, and Jones was struck in the right hand.
