A 45-year-old Dublin man was shot to death while sitting on his front porch Sunday night.
Ira Underwood III, who lived in the 600 block of South Washington Street in Dublin, died on his way to the hospital, said Bill Bodry, assistant special agent in charge of the GBI’s Eastman field office.
Dublin police received a 911 call about 9:45 p.m. When officers arrived, they found that Underwood had been shot once in the chest.
Bodry declined to offer more details about the incident, but he said authorities have a person of interest in the shooting death.
Anyone with information about the killing is asked to call the GBI at 478-374-6988 or Dublin police at 478-277-5023.
