A 24-year-old Macon man who allegedly shot a man and dumped his toddler out of the alleged getaway car in May was indicted Tuesday in Bibb County.
Montez Quenshonderick Sands is charged with aggravated assault, according to an indictment filed in Bibb County Superior Court.
Sands allegedly shot his 3-year-old daughter's mother's boyfriend during a Mother's Day encounter at Green Meadows Apartments, 3767 Log Cabin Drive, according to Bibb County deputies.
He allegedly pulled a gun on 19-year-old Travon Girtman, yelled at him and fired several shots, striking Girtman in both legs just above his knees, according to a sheriff's office news release.

Sands reportedly dumped his daughter out of his 1998 Cadillac Brougham and drove off. He later turned himself in to authorities.
Investigators determined there was no child cruelty involved in the case.
Sands was released on $11,200 bond on May 12, according to county jail records.
