A Macon woman’s 20th birthday celebration took a detour to the emergency room Saturday night.
Diamond Williams had already gone to the hospital when Bibb County sheriff’s deputies got to her family celebration at the intersection of Lawton Drive and Holt Avenue, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Deputies were called about 9:15 p.m. and were told Williams was shot once in the upper leg and was in stable condition at The Medical Center of Central, the release stated.
No further information was immediately released about what led to the shooting.
