A 21-year-old Macon man is charged with attempted murder after being arrested Friday.
Davares Jerrelle Evans was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force at an apartment in the 700 block of Tidewater Circle after they received a Crimestoppers tip, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Evans was wanted for the December 2013 attempted murder of his then-girlfriend Sierra Scott of Macon.
On Dec. 3, 2013, Evans went to Scott’s home in the 1200 block of West Granada Terrace, according to the release. Evans shot Scott once in the hand after she told Evans she wanted to break up with him and asked him to leave.
Witnesses also identified Evans as the person that shot Scott, according to the release.
Evans was in the Bibb County jail Saturday morning on a $1,300 bond.
