Monroe County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Florida man Wednesday after they found 96 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop.
Anthony Sean Howard, of Jacksonville, Florida, was charged with felony trafficking marijuana after he was pulled over on Interstate 75 headed southbound near mile maker 191 about 9:15 a.m. for a window tint violation on his silver Mitsubishi Montero Sport.
Deputies found Howard driving on a suspended or revoked license and placed him under arrest.
A deputy found Howard, 33, to be acting strangely and called for backup, according to a news release. Two deputies searched the vehicle and discovered two large trash bags containing multiple bricks of marijuana.
Howard also is charged with improper lane change and driving on a suspended/revoked license.
