A Macon man was sentenced to 20 years in prison Monday in connection with the November theft of 67 guns from Classic Firearms, 5854 Columbus Road.
Shamarko Tryvonne Newson Jr., 19, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft by receiving, prosecutor Mike Smith said.
Cases still are pending in Bibb County Superior Court for two other men accused of participating in the heist, 19-year-old Joshua Dewayne Logan and Telvin Keon Jackson, 22, he said.
Four masked men broke into the store just after midnight Nov. 21. The fourth man has not been identified, Smith said.
Authorities have recovered about half the stolen guns, he said.
Sixteen of the guns were found when Bibb County deputies searched New-son’s house. Another four were recovered after Newson told his girlfriend to move them from a safe under a bed in his house, Smith said.
A few others have trickled in from other sources since the three men were arrested, he said.
Anyone with information about the other stolen guns or the fourth person involved in the theft is asked to call Bibb County deputies at 751-7500 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 877-68-CRIME.
