A pickup with no lights on, creeping through the campus of Central Georgia Technical College, led to the arrest of four people accused of stealing from a construction site.
Just after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, a Bibb deputy stopped the truck and noticed a pile of steel rebar in the back of the truck, according to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators were called and traced the rebar to construction at the school.
Deputies arrested four people from Macon and charged them with felony theft by taking.
Bond was set at $4,050 for Tanya D. Sowash, 48, Joshua William McGill, 21, William Joshua Thompson, 27, and Robert Orion Aycock, 37.
Thompson is wanted by Warner Robins police, and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office has a hold placed on Aycock, the release stated.
