Bibb County grand jurors indicted a 49-year-old Macon man Tuesday on allegations he stabbed his girlfriend in the chest using a pair of scissors on June 26.
Jamie Ward is charged with family violence-related aggravated assault and criminal trespass, according to the indictment filed Tuesday in Bibb County Superior Court.
Prosecutor Pamela White-Colbert said the stabbing occurred during an argument at the couple’s Clinton Road apartment.
Ward additionally is accused of kicking the door of the apartment and causing less than $500 damage, according to the indictment.
He previously has been convicted on three counts of burglary and one count of felony marijuana possession, according to the indictment.
Ward is being held at the county jail without bond, according to jail records.
