Macon police are investigating an aggravated assault that took place Friday evening on Lamar Street, according to a police report.
The report said the 53-year-old male victim was sitting on his front steps with a bloody towel wrapped around his head when police arrived.
The victim told officers that two acquaintances beat him with a baseball bat and a handgun because they thought O’Neil owed one of the men money.One of the men threatened a woman who was with the victim by pointing a handgun at her, the report said. The two men then fled the scene.
The victim was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia. According to the police report, the incident was related to an unpaid drug debt.
No arrests have been made relating to the incident.
