Macon police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Sunday evening at Church’s Chicken on Georgia Avenue, according to a police report.
The report stated a gunman entered the store about 7:25 p.m. and forced the two employees at the counter to get on the floor. The gunman then found the store manager, forced her to open the two registers and took money from them. After the manager told him there was no safe in the store, the gunman fled and ran west toward Monroe Street.
The manager was taken to the hospital after she hurt her arm when the gunman pulled her from the cooler.
