A woman threatened a bank teller with a bomb as she tried to rob the Citizen’s Bank of Cochran about 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Cochran police news release.
The woman attempted to hide her face with a towel as she passed a plastic bag and a note to the teller from a white Ford four-door truck in the bank’s drive-through. The note read, “Put $10,000 in bag. Do not call the police for 10 minutes, or a bomb will go off,” according to the release.
When the teller didn’t follow the woman’s instructions, the woman drove off leaving the note and bag. The woman is described as being about 55 years old and having reddish hair pulled back, according to the release.
