Warner Robins police have arrested a man accused of threatening another man for money after hitching a ride from a Wal-Mart parking lot.
Frank Garmon Jr., 43, of Warner Robins, was arrested at 2:45 a.m. Monday at America’s Best Value Inn, 1440 Watson Blvd.
He was charged with robbery by intimidation and theft by deception, according to a police news release.
Police say Garmon approached a man in the parking lot at Wal-Mart, 2720 Watson Blvd., Tuesday and asked for a ride to get his car from a locksmith on Second Street.
After being taken to the location, Garmon allegedly threatened the driver for money, according to the news release. No weapon was involved, and no one was injured.
Garmon, who is being held in the Houston County jail, is known by police to ask people for rides for various reasons.
