WARNER ROBINS — A 13-year-old was struck by a sport utility vehicle Wednesday as he was walking across Moody Road at Leisure Lake Drive, according to a Warner Robins police news release.
The teenager was struck on his left side and “appeared to suffer severe impact trauma,” the release stated.
He was taken by ambulance to The Medical Center of Central Georgia, where he was listed in critical but stable condition, the release said.
Police did not release the name of the teenager. The teenager was struck by a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer driven by Chandelle Roberts, 50, of Warner Robins, who was traveling south on Moody Road, the release stated.
The 5:24 p.m. accident remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding the accident is asked to contact Warner Robins police traffic investigator Randy Evans at (478) 293-1037.
