A Warner Robins man was sentenced to 13 years in prison for his part in the armed robbery of Elsa’s Gifts and More in Warner Robins, a prosecutor said.
Robert Hunter Bowman, 25, was sentenced Wednesday after a Houston County jury found him guilty of party to the crime of armed robbery, said Senior Assistant District Attorney Amy Smith.
Bowman, 25, will have to serve at least 10 years before he is eligible for parole, Smith said. He also was sentenced to seven years on probation.
Also, William Dale Bragg, 20, was charged with armed robbery in the May 26 incident. He is expected to go on trial next week, Smith said.
Bowman and Bragg were alleged to be patrons of the store. Bragg is accused of greeting the store owner with a gun when she unlocked the store to let Bowman out after he finished playing one of the video gambling games, authorities said.The two men were accused of robbing her of $800 before fleeing.
Two other people were in the business during the 10:39 p.m. armed robbery. No one was injured.
