The 37-year-old delivery driver told police he’d just finished delivering a pizza and was driving on Buford Place toward Vineville Avenue when the gunman jumped into his vehicle. The gunman jammed a pistol into the driver’s ribs and instructed him to drive to Holt Avenue, according to a police report.
When the driver told the gunman he didn’t know how to get to Holt Avenue, the gunman jammed the gun higher into the driver’s ribs, according to the report.
The driver stopped near Central High School, and the gunman instructed him to put his head on the steering wheel and cover his face with his arms. The gunman, described as being a husky-built, light-skinned black man between 17 and 20 years old, got out of the car and left, according to the report.
