A Bibb County grand jury indicted two men Tuesday in connection with the death of a man who was shot while driving through the intersection of Mickey Street and Lindsey Drive on April 6.
Michael Todd Rice, 28, of Von Ron Drive, and Stanley Michael Dominy, 31, of Clifton Drive, are charged with murder, felony murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, according to the indictment.
James “Jamie” Olan Abney Jr., of Lindwood Drive, 34, died after being shot in the head.
A third man, 28-year-old Eric Stewart Everidge, was arrested in the days following the killing, but he was not indicted. Prosecutor Elizabeth Bobbitt said although Everidge was driving a car with Rice and Dominy as his passengers at the time of the fatal shooting, evidence shows he didn’t have knowledge that the shooting was going to occur.
