Macon police have charged a 24-year-old man with a rape on Tidewater Circle in south Macon.
The man, Donald Haynes, was taken into custody Thursday after authorities obtained search and arrest warrants for rape and false imprisonment, according to a news release from police spokeswoman Jami Gaudet. Police served the warrants with help from the U.S. Marshal’s Office.
The rape happened Sunday, police said.
Haynes, who had five previous arrests dating to 2006, was taken into custody at a home without incident, police said.
