A pit bull attacked a 60-year-old woman and her dog Monday night in the 100 block of Weatherby Drive, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Sara Reeves, 60, told deputies she was walking her cocker spaniel about 8:30 p.m. Monday when she noticed her neighbor’s pit bull was out of its pen.
The dog grabbed her cocker spaniel, causing Reeves to fall. Bibb County sheriff’s reports state the pit bull dragged Reeves by her dog’s leash, causing injuries to her elbows and ripping her pants legs.
Rami Suliman, the pit bull’s owner, attempted to get his dog to let go of the cocker spaniel by hitting the pit bull. Suliman’s dog was put back inside its owner’s fence after releasing Reeves’ dog, according to the report.
Suliman was cited for violation of Georgia’s leash law and for failure to provide proof of annual shots, according to the report.
