A man who robbed the Bank of America on Riverside Drive in 2009 was sentenced Wednesday to nearly 15 years of prison in Federal Court.
Jason Phillip Hurt, 33, was sentenced to 14 years and 10 months in prison without parole by U.S. District Judge C. Ashley Royal.
Hurt pleaded guilty in April to robbing the bank of about $4,000 in July 2009. He was arrested a few days later in Hapeville, where police recovered part of the money and a handgun.
Hurt also robbed the same bank in 2004 and was sentenced to five years in jail.
