Two houses on Ward Street were damaged by gunfire about 12:15 a.m. Friday, according to Macon police.
A 21-year-old woman living in the 100 block of Ward Street told police she was in bed when she heard about seven gunshots and a chunk of ceiling Sheetrock fell to the floor, according to a police report.
Police were unable to find any bullet fragments in the bedroom or attic.
An officer observed holes in the ceiling and roof that could have been caused by a bullet, according to the report.

In a separate report, a 53-year-old woman living in the 200 block of Ward Street told police she heard what sounded like two cars chasing each other on Ward Street and heard seven gunshots, according to a police report.
The woman said she discovered a hole in a wall inside the house and plaster shattered on the floor.
Police were unable to recover bullet fragments from the home or shell casings from the street, according to the report.
