Macon police arrested an armed robbery suspect caught driving a stolen car Sunday morning.
Deandre Deshae Williams, 29, is accused of waving down 24-year-old Angelo Martin at the intersection of Triple Hill Drive and Marse Allen Road about 9:15 a.m. Sunday, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.
Williams allegedly pulled a gun, threatened Martin and demanded his personal belongings in the residential neighborhood off Rocky Creek Road near Interstate 75, the release stated. After Martin ran from his 2001 Crown Victoria, police caught Williams inside the car behind the Captain D’s on Gray Highway about an hour after the holdup.
Williams was charged with armed robbery and booked into the Bibb County jail.
