Bibb County investigators are looking into a report in which a 15-year-old boy was attacked by a group of five or six young teens and had his cell phone taken.
According to a sheriff’s report, the teen was walking to his grandmother’s house Saturday evening when a group of 12-to-14-year-olds started to walk behind him. One of the group asked the teen if he wanted to fight. When he said no, some of the boys started to punch and kick him. The teen’s cell phone was taken during the struggle.
The group then fled down West Highland Drive.
Later, the youth and his grandmother drove by West Club apartments and spotted the group, who fled when they saw the car.
