Five people have been arrested in connection with several burglaries over the past few months in Houston and Bibb counties, police said.
Houston County sheriff’s Capt. Robert Clark said those arrested are a “loose confederation of friends who went out and did burglaries together.”
David Mitchell, 19, was charged with two counts of burglary after he was caught by Houston County sheriff’s deputies during a burglary in progress on Tidwell Road this month, Clark said.
His arrest and a subsequent investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies led to the other arrests, Clark said Monday.
The others arrested include Brian Williams, 19, of Warner Robins, and Braylon Rivers, 18, of Macon, who were each charged with seven counts of burglary and one count of criminal trespass; and Tiquarius Jordan, 20, of Warner Robins, charged with one count of burglary and violation of probation. Also charged was a 16-year-old from Macon, according to a Houston County Sheriff’s Office news release.
