An 18-year-old Macon man was shot in the upper arm while driving on Henley Street about 2:45 p.m. Thursday, according to Macon police.
Earl Mathis, of Alden Street, told police many children were in the area since it was the time when school ends for the day. Mathis’ passenger was not hurt, according to a police report.
Mathis drove to his mother’s home and a friend drove him to the hospital. Police later found several .40 caliber shell casings on Henley Street, according to the report.
