Macon police have released the names of two people who led police on a Monday night chase that ended when a car the couple is accused of stealing crashed into a guardrail near the intersection of Interstate 16 east and Interstate 75 south.
Dwine Joseph Johnson, 19, of Cherry Avenue, and Danielle Renee Holt, 20, of Mercer University Drive, are charged with robbery by force in connection with the incident, according to a Macon police report.

After receiving information about the robbery, a police officer spotted the car and attempted to pull over the car. Johnson and Holt sped away instead, leading police on a chase. After the car crashed, Johnson and Holt led police on a foot chase, but they were apprehended Monday night.
