A 22-year-old Macon man has been charged with raping a 19-year-old woman in the 1100 block of Dublin Avenue on March 8, according to Macon police.
Keontae Jermaine Jones, of Dukeswell Court, is being held at the Bibb County jail without bond, according to jail records.
Police detective Stephen Hutto said Jones went to the woman’s home to watch movies. He described Jones and the woman as being acquaintances.
At some point, Jones and the woman went to her bedroom, where he forced her onto the bed and raped her, Hutto said.
A warrant was issued for Jones’ arrest soon after the rape accusation. He was arrested Monday on a rape charge during a traffic stop in Macon, Hutto said.
