A house in the 3800 block of Fairmont Avenue was damaged by gunfire early Monday morning, according to Macon police.
A 41-year-old woman told police she was in bed asleep about 1:15 a.m. when a bullet went through her front door and hit a picture frame on a coffee table, according to a police report.
A witness told police he saw a 1990s-model green Honda Accord with a loud muffler circle the block several times before a man got out of the car and fired at the house. A second witness also saw the car circle the block and heard gunshots, according to the report. Police recovered three shell casings.
