Macon police arrested a man in connection with a stabbing that took place Saturday afternoon on Center Street, a report said.
According to the report, police arrested Terry Darby, 63, of Mitchell Street, and charged him with aggravated assault.
Officers found the victim lying on his stomach after having been stabbed in the back. The man told officers that Darby allegedly told him he had 30 days to get out of the residence. The victim had packed up his things, but Darby allegedly told him he could stay, the report said.
The victim told police that as he unpacked, Darby allegedly stabbed him.
Police went to the residence and found Darby allegedly intoxicated, the report said. He was taken to the Bibb County jail.
