A woman was struck with a billiards ball at a Gray Highway bar Saturday following an argument about money, according to a Macon police report issued Thursday.
The 21-year-old woman told officers she attended a fundraising function at Hud’s Bar and Grill, 2213 Gray Highway, and got into an argument with a man who owed her money about 11:30 p.m., according to the report.A female bartender later picked up a billiard ball and threw it at the woman, striking her on the bridge of her nose, according to police.
Off-duty emergency medical technicians and a firefighter at the event provided first aid to the woman. Her nose was fractured in four places, and she needs reconstructive surgery, according to the report.
Both of her eyes were swollen shut until Wednesday, preventing her from filing a police report immediately following the incident. A police officer noted in the report that her eyes were black and swollen when he met with the woman Wednesday.No one answered the phone at the bar early Thursday night.
