A 27-year-old Byron woman faces forgery charges after she allegedly tried to pass a forged check for $105,300, according to Macon police.
Diane Denise Dickson was released Tuesday on $2,950 bond, according to Bibb County jail records.
Dickson is accused of presenting a forged check from Charles Rutenberg Realty at America’s Cash Express on Poplar Street just before 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to a police news release.
Employees at America’s Cash Express called the realty company, located in Naperville, Ill., and determined the check was fake, according to police.
Dickson later admitted she passed the check with the intention of receiving the entire amount printed on the check for her personal gain, according to the release.
