An early morning altercation left one woman wounded and her friend charged with aggravated assault.
Henry McCoy, 82, is accused of shooting Pamela Gunnels, 48, in the left forearm and left side during an argument Tuesday about 2:10 a.m. at 4221 Worsham Ave., according to a report from the Macon Police Department.
McCoy told officers he shot Gunnels because she allegedly hit him with a baseball bat.
Gunnels was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia and was in surgery early Tuesday. McCoy was booked into the Bibb County jail on a charge of aggravated assault/family violence.
